Declaring a major in Education Studies

  • Թ students declare majors by the end of sophomore year or at 45 earned credits. Those interested in obtaining a license to teach in K-12 should declare their major as soon as possible.
  • Current students interested in the Education Studies major should contact Dr. Cristy Sellers as early as possible
  • In order to graduate in four years, students who are interested in adding a professional teaching license to their degree must apply to the program. The teaching license takes two years to earn and courses take place during the junior and senior year. Students who are interested in this pathway need to complete the School of Teaching and Learning application by February 1 of their second year/two years prior to graduation at Pacific. Students must have a 2.75 GPA or greater at the time of application and must be able to dedicate their final semester to full time student teaching without taking other courses.
